However, the Final Fantasy 7 remake also reminded us that some of the best remakes across all mediums are those that dare to be different. Others simply didn’t like the specific decisions that were made. It was certainly a lot to process, and it was ultimately too much for some. A lot of people were expecting it to be the original game with high-end modern graphics, and they instead received an experience that not only changed the original game’s combat system, story, and key characters but established a strange meta-narrative that figures to impact future chapters. Yet, it’s hard to look at the upcoming KOTOR remake and not think of the best remake of 2020: Final Fantasy 7.įinal Fantasy 7 was an incredibly divisive game. After all, those were two of the best remakes of last year and two of the better remakes in recent memory. Aspyr’s KOTOR remake may end up being closer to those games, and that would probably be better than fine. Actually, similar language was used to describe the recent remakes of Mafia and Demon’s Souls which were certainly true remakes but ultimately stuck fairly close to the original experiences in terms of structure, story, and other trademark elements that fans associate with those titles. If there's anyone currently battling this issue, let me know how this solution works. Now, those statements don’t mean that Aspyr’s remake is going to be a completely different game. But for some odd reason, it HAS worked for me every single time I've found myself get stuck. Now, maybe this was patched somewhere offical or unofficial, and maybe this won't always work for everyone. After battle, when you notice yourself get stuck, simply hold forward and one of the pan camera keys at the same time without letting go for a few seconds, and after a full revolution or 2, it seems to release you.

Simply have a key mapped to "PAN CAMERA LEFT" or "PAN CAMERA RIGHT". Others say to save and reload, which DOES work, but is tedius to do after every fight.īut I myself have stumbled across a way to get unstuck that hasn't failed *me* yet. Everyone said to change your V-sync settings ingame and within the launcher settings, which didn't work. So, having run into this many times, I natrually did some google searching around to see if there was a fix for this little annoyance.
